Each year, over 5,000 animals turn to RSPCA South Australia in their hour of need. You can help provide a haven for SA’s most vulnerable animals.
For one special day, you (or a loved one) can be a fairy god-pawrent to the animals in care.
Sponsor a day yourself, or as a kind gift for a friend, family member or colleague. You can even sponsor in celebration or memory of a pet or loved one.
Your loving support will help fund care, safety, warmth, enrichment and hope for every creature great and small that comes through our doors.

How it works
Step 1: Pick the date you would like to sponsor.

Providing a haven for homeless animals
Our facilities, animal care and foster programs are entirely funded by generous donations. On a normal day we have around 600 animals in our care, with half of these at our O’Halloran Hill animal care campus and more in foster care. Your kind sponsorship helps support our operations and allows us to give the most vulnerable animals a safe, comfortable and loving place of refuge.
Nurturing the underdogs (…and cats)
Many of the animals in our care need extra love, patience and specialist support to overcome their trauma. With your compassion, we can rebuild their trust in humans and help grow their social skills to get them adoption ready. Your sponsorship will ensure that all our animals who need a bit more support have extra hours of care, love and attention from our super special team of humans.
Sparking joy!
Animals belong in loving homes, but while they’re waiting to find theirs, you can be their sunshine. Your sponsorship will help brighten the day of the animals in our care by helping to fund play packs, toys, treats, walkies and grooming to enrich their day in care.

What do I get when I sponsor a day?
In addition to all the warm and fuzzy feelings you get knowing you’re making a difference to the lives of animals in need, you’ll also receive:
- A printable certificate (as a PDF) with your name to commemorate your special sponsored day. If you choose to purchase as a gift or in memory, you will also be able to include the name of the person or animal you’re sponsoring for on your certificate. This will be sent via email as soon as you make your purchase.
- A special thank you video will be sent to you via email on your sponsored day to celebrate the impact you’ve had.
Is my sponsorship tax deductable?
Sponsor A Day is classified as a donation which means your purchase IS tax deductible! You will be sent a receipt for your donation via email your payment is processed.
Why can’t I sponsor a certain date?
If the date you’d like to sponsor isn’t available, this is because it’s sold out. Don’t worry! You can still pick another date to sponsor, and you’ll get your certificate of purchase straight away.
What does my money go towards?
Your sponsorship helps fund the animal care teams at RSPCA South Australia and allows us to continue providing support and care for South Australia’s most vulnerable and in need animals. By sponsoring a day, you’re contributing to South Australia’s longest operating animal welfare charity and helping keep our doors open so we can continue to prevent cruelty to animals and fight for improved animal rights.
Why do you need to know the reason I am sponsoring?
When you choose to sponsor a day, we’ll ask you if you are sponsoring as a gift, in memory or for yourself. We ask this because it determines what kind of certificate and communication you receive from us.
What if I want to sponsor with another person?
If you want to sponsor a day with another person, you can include both your names within the ‘First Name’ field, and both names will display on your certificate.
